About us

The Americas Forum is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a lasting peace and prosperity in the hemisphere by aiding the foundations that support it - individual freedom, entrepreneurship, open markets and the rule of law. Its contributors possess decades of experience in inter-American relations as well as Washington policy and political processes.

Americas Forum rejects the notion that the Americas should be considered the United States' "backyard," but instead considers it as the neighborhood in which we live. And as the peace, prosperity and security of our neighborhood remains threatened by undemocratic influences, Americas Forum will advocate for robust U.S. engagement within the Hemisphere so that all may share in the prosperity and security that are the birthright of all humankind.
AmericasForum.com provides news and information focused on Latin America and the Western Hemisphere. Its contributors represent many years of experience in government, business and non-governmental organizations in Washington and in Latin America.
